Mesa Looking to Purchase Hotel for "Off the Streets" Program

The city of Mesa is looking to purchase the Grand Hotel at 6733 E Main Street as a way to further expand their "Off the Streets" Program. The "Off the Streets" program was developed in 2020 as a way to help unhoused individuals while provided extensive oversight and support services. It has been operating out of the Windmore Hotel. This new location would serve families, seniors and survivors of domestic violence and would be a referral program. To read more about the program and guidelines click here

 Why It Matters to Us

Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest has a long history of advocating for the unhoused in our community. Our I-HELP programs serves individuals who are unhoused and helps them get back on their feet. Our Advocacy Committee is dedicated to advocating for Affordable Housing. We are passionate about working together to find different solutions and believe that the City of Mesa's plan would benefit many in the community.
